Take your camera as you’ll see breathtaking panoramic views of valleys and layers of Inca handmade farming terraces, ridged snow capped mountains, and even sub-tropical jungles from Aguas Calientes to the Amazon.

What to Expect?

Your day will start early in the morning for an adventure that will lead to the majestic Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. Your 1 day train tour to Machu Picchu begins at Ollantaytambo Train Station on a train to Aguas Calientes. On your journey, the sacred Urubamba River will be your companion for your trip to Aguas Calientes.

We did this tour after our Lake Titicaca Trip and this was the best experience we had in South America. The travel company was very well organised and attentive. The guide knew a lot about the archaeological site too. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing journey with John. He showed us the major tourist attractions and then took us to places you’d only know if you’re a true local. John’s has superior knowledge on the history of the region and is also a fantastic translator. Definitely will be choosing John and Machu Picchu Tours for my next trip to Peru
