Want to visit Machu Picchu Peru Hiking Inca Trail in a short time? We have you covered. Our full day Inca Trail Hike is designed to offer you the highlights of the 500 years old legendary trek to Machu Picchu

Accompanied by a local tour guide, you will be visiting some of the prominent archaeological sites while hiking to Machu Picchu.

The Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu tops the bucket list of many travellers. However, to protect the authenticity of the trail, local authorities restrict the access to just 500 people a day. This includes porters, guides and cooks. So barely 200 people get to hike the trail a day.

Often Inca Trail Permits tend to sell out six to seven months in advance. Last minute travellers often look for the best alternative like Salkantay Trek or Lares Trek to make their trip to Machu Picchu a memorable one.

This one day Machu Picchu Peru Hiking Inca Trail is the best option. You will be visiting the main archaeological sites along the trail, you will also be skipping the challenging part of the four day trek like camping at high altitudes.

Wondering why Inca Trail is so popular? Our local experts have compiled an article on this.. Check out our insider’s tips on hiking Inca Trail. We have also outlined the difference between Salkantay Trek and Inca Trail

Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is a high altitude experience. We highly recommend you to spend 3-4 days in Cusco before the trail to avoid altitude sickness

It is best to hike the Inca trail during the dry season – between March and November. During the wet season, the trail gets slippery and hiking is somewhat challenging.

Couple Traveller

e could not get the permit to hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. A month before travelling, we came across their website and had a chat with John. He was quick to help us. He suggested hiking the Short Inca Trail of two days. This was a lifetime experience.

The trail was more nicer and quite easy. We did not have to experience any high altitude hikes or camping in the wild and we had most of the sites to ourselves.

John accompanied us throughout the trail. He has an immense knowledge about the Inca civilization and spoke good English too.

We felt really safe as the crew complied to all measures of COVID-19.

To summarise, we felt like we were pampered on this two day trail. We highly recommend this experience and the tour company, especially John the guide.
