For other tours, such as the Huayna Picchu mountain hike, advance booking is also necessary due to limited daily permits.
What are the restrictions for visiting Machu Picchu?
Machu Picchu has several restrictions to preserve the site and ensure visitor safety. Some key rules include: visitors must enter with an official ticket and passport, large backpacks are not allowed, drones and tripods are prohibited, and certain areas have limited access.
