2 Day Machu Picchu Tour from Cusco by Train

The trip begins with hotel pickup in Cusco and a transfer to Ollantaytambo, where you board the train to Aguas Calientes. You spend the first night in town and visit Machu Picchu with a professional guide the following day before returning to Cusco by train and vehicle.

The package includes hotel pickup and drop-off in Cusco, transportation to and from Ollantaytambo, round-trip train tickets, one night in a 3-star hotel, Machu Picchu admission, shuttle buses, and a guided visit to the citadel. Meals, travel insurance, personal expenses, and optional mountain tickets are not included unless stated otherwise in your booking confirmation.

The standard package includes the PeruRail Expedition service between Ollantaytambo and Aguas Calientes. No strenuous hike is required. However, the guided visit involves approximately two hours of walking on stone paths, uneven surfaces, slopes, and stairs. However, some travelers may still feel the effects of altitude while staying in Cusco before departure.
